Viewing FAQs within a Category and Creating New FAQs#
These instructions guide you through viewing the FAQs listed under a specific category and adding new questions and answers to that category.
1. Navigating to FAQs:#
a. On the main navigation menu, locate and click on Help Desk.
b. Within the Help Desk menu, click on FAQs.
This will display the "FAQs" screen, showing a list of available FAQ categories.
Creating FAQ Categories#
These instructions guide you through creating new top-level categories to organize your Frequently Asked Questions.
Navigate to Help Desk: On the main navigation menu, locate and click on Help Desk.
Access FAQs: Within the Help Desk menu, click on FAQs.
Initiate Category Creation: On the "FAQs" screen (which initially shows the categories), locate and click the + Create button
(in the top right corner).
Enter Category Details: A pop-up window titled "FAQ category Create"
will appear.
Title: In the "Title" field, enter a descriptive name for your new FAQ category (e.g., "IT Support", "Benefits Information", "Leave Policy").
Description: In the "Description" field, provide a brief explanation or overview of the topics covered within this category.
Save the Category: Once you have entered the title and description, click the Save button in the pop-up window.
Confirmation: The new FAQ category will now be displayed on the "FAQs" screen.
II. Creating FAQ Questions within a Category#
These instructions guide you through adding new Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers) to a specific FAQ category.
Navigate to Help Desk: On the main navigation menu, locate and click on Help Desk.
Access FAQs: Within the Help Desk menu, click on FAQs.
View FAQs within a Category: On the "FAQs"
screen, locate the specific category where you want to add a new question and click the View FAQs
button associated with that category.
Initiate Question Creation: While viewing the FAQs for the selected category, locate and click the + Create
button (in the top right corner of the FAQs page). This will open the "FAQ Create"
pop-up window.
Enter the New FAQ Details:#
Question: In the "Question" field, type the new frequently asked question.
Answer: In the "Answer" field, provide the detailed answer to the question.
Tags: (Optional) In the "Tags" field, enter relevant keywords or select from existing tags to help organize and search FAQs.
Save the New FAQ: Once you have entered the question, answer, and any relevant tags, click the Save button in the "FAQ Create" pop-up window.
Confirmation: The newly created FAQ (question and answer) will now be displayed on the FAQs page under the category you were viewing.
